Join us as we reminisce on our recent surf experience event which saw 16 young first-time surfers hit the waves as part of our Blue Health campaign with mental health organisation Heads Above The Waves. Hosted by our very own Reef Ambassadors, the legendary Mike Lay and the wonderful Evie Johnstone, the event at The Wave brought together 16 people from all backgrounds come together to take to the water for their very first surf lesson.
Alongside an exclusive surf lesson, attendees received a comfy pair of reef sandals, a limited edition ‘Blue Health’ tee & tote to accompany them on their continued summer adventures.During the lesson, there were thrills, spills and plenty of smiles, with a stoked Mike Lay throwing in shouts of encouragement and ‘shakas’ with every ride.
After a couple of hours of hitting the waves, perfecting those pop-ups, and sliding & gliding through one of the most unique blue spaces in the UK, the crew retreated inside for a well-deserved post-surf refuel. Delicious pizza and summer fizz were on the menu, and the chatter was non-stop as everyone reminisced about their surf session.
