"I have been buying and wearing Reef flip flops for years, particularly the Fanning range, and have always associated the brand with comfort and quality. Unfortunately, my experience with the new Fanning Plus has been extremely disappointing. Having purchased what is marketed as Reef’s top-of-the-range flip flop, I expected the same comfort and durability I’ve enjoyed from previous models. Instead, within just 15 minutes of walking, the strap had rubbed the skin off my toe, leaving it sore and uncomfortable. This is something I’ve never experienced with earlier Fanning models. The materials feel noticeably cheaper and less refined than previous Reef products, and the overall quality simply doesn’t justify the premium price tag. It’s disappointing to see a brand I once trusted appear to prioritise cost-cutting over comfort and craftsmanship. Based on my experience, the Fanning Plus falls well short of the quality standards I’ve come to expect from Reef, and I would not recommend it."
