Meet Evie
Evie's dad taught all three of her siblings to surf at a young age. She grew up in England, so think wetsuits, rain, cold wet holidays to the coast, and hot pasties—that kind of glamorous surfing, you know. Nonetheless, she was still hooked, and to this day surfing has carved her entire life.
Growing up, Evie studied and loved photography but dreamt of being a pro surfer. She left school at 18, booked a one-way ticket to Costa Rica with no real plans—no plans at all actually, other than to escape Britain and surf every day. She stayed there for 7 years, and during that time, she competed on the Latin America Pro Tour. She won the UK Pro Surf Tour in 2012.
By the age of 25, with some epic waves and a couple of wins, she won the tour that year and decided that competitive surfing wasn't for her. Now, she surfs for pure fun and enjoyment.
During years of travel and exploring new cultures, she pursued her passion for photography. She firmly believes that with the right attitude, hard work, commitment, and positivity, we can achieve anything we want.
Surfing has always been something that is a form of meditation and stress relief for Evie. Her competitive nature made contests quite stressful, and she began to realise that she needed surfing to be her escape. There's nothing in the world that makes her happier.
